We’re back, baby!!
Yes, you read that right, we are officially back! I know you’ve seen my end of year recaps, and my goals for the year posts, but that’s been about it. I haven’t really done an actual blog post in a while.
So what have we been up to?
Honestly, not that much! In January we celebrated our ten year wedding anniversary and of course our birthdays. We’ve been working and just enjoying spending time together. Every other week we get to have the girls for a night (which we love)!
We booked a cruise for later this year. We haven’t cruised since before we moved here so it is much needed. Plus this will be our last Carnival Cruise for a very long time, maybe even for good. And before anyone wonders why, Carnival recently-ish announced they are changing their loyalty program. It’s less about being loyal in terms of cruising with them and more about being loyal in terms of your wallet. James and I aren’t big spenders. We book a balcony because we like them. We buy things on board if we really want it (but most of the time, we don’t really spend much). We don’t really gamble. We cruise for the relaxing part of it. We cruise because it’s literally the easiest way for him to get me to stop working for a time. We like to explore the ports. And while we love the ports that Carnival goes to, it’s not enough to bring us back after the slap in the face with the loyalty program.
We plan to attend at least one, maybe two conventions this year. I’m looking forward to one near here to meet some Charmed favorites! We’ve met so many amazing people over the past few years that I just can’t wait to see what other places have in store for us!
We’ve been rewatching/watching older tv shows lately. We just recently finished Drop Dead Diva, almost done with Jag, Hawaii 5-0, and naturally have caught up on our normal shows (which are a LOT). Maybe I’ll do a post another time and list them out!
Went to the Georgia Ren Faire in April with the girls, Josh, Meredith and her kids. It was really cool and I loved being able to experience the girls first Ren experience with them! We will definitely be going back again next year. And I hope to check out the Carolina one as well soonish.
Other than that, I think we are caught up. We’ve just been relaxing whenever we can and enjoying spending time with each other while still exploring the area.
Stay tune for some reviews, author updates, travel info and spiritual posts!
