Travel

Let’s travel!

Ah! It’s been such a long time since I wrote a travel post. I mean, can you blame me though? With everything going on lots of travel was on hold for quite a bit, and things are FINALLY starting to get back to a semi-regular with travel. Cruise ships are debarking every week with guests on board, all-inclusive resorts are still thriving, and airports don’t look like a scene from a zombie movie anymore.

So let’s talk travel! As you might have seen on social media we’ve travel quite a bit since our last cruise in November 2019. We toured some amazing all-inclusive resorts in Cancun in September 2020. Stayed for our anniversary at another resort in January 2021, and traveled through states for the past several months.

What’s on our agenda? We will be sailing on the lovely Scarlet Lady from Virgin Voyages in January. We do have plans to go to an all-inclusive more toward the fall of next year, and of course in 2023, we’ll be having our bi-annual Veterans cruise (date is changing due to a conflict). We ARE hoping to do some day/weekend trips here and there.

I have to say, I have missed travel, and it feels really weird to say that we are going on a cruise. Heck, it feels weird to be going on vacation so soon after buying a house, but the cruise was already paid for and we couldn’t pass up a chance to experience a line other than Carnival. Plus, Virgin Voyages is, adults only. Yep, you read that right. No one under the age of 18 is onboard those ships. There are a few noticeable differences on Virgin Voyages than there are on other lines. For example, no buffet, no main dining room. It actually reminds me of an all-inclusive because MOST have one area that is a buffet, but everything else is all restaurants. So we are pretty interested to see how that goes.

I’ll be detailing out our entire trip during and after in our Facebook group The Magic Bunch.

I’ll be traveling a little for my book world stuff too. Tampa in June, Norfolk in July. Check out my blog post for more information on that later!

Well, that’s all I have for now. Not much more to report.
