New section! Reviews!

We cover a LOT on this blog. Travel (because we love to travel and own a small travel agency). Books and writing (because I’m an author), and life in general!

The whole point of this blog was to be about everything and anything, relating to a wide variety of readers. Something I recently started is book reviews, but it got me thinking…REVIEWS in general. Restaurant reviews, movie reviews, and whatever else floats our boat.

So below I’m actually going to cover TWO local place (both sub shops) that we visited over the past month. Each month, I’ll review all of the local (or non local) places we had a meal. Some of these may be old (but I’ll make sure to notate when we were there).

Let’s start with last weekend (Saturday February 18th).

Sub Hub of Lakeland (location: 6411 Kathleen Rd, Lakeland, FL)

This place was about 45 minutes to an hour away from our house, but I had seen someone post about it in a local Facebook group. Ever since we left North Carolina, we’ve been looking for a good sub place.

Subs: 7/10
Sides: 5/10

For the subs we had the Chicken Philly and Steak Philly. The reason we gave them a 7 was due to the size. Everything else about the subs were great. The taste and we split them between us, so we both got to try each one. I would go back and get another if we were in the area already.

For the sides, a 5. We got an order of fries and onion rings. Neither one really were anything major or special. But that doesn’t mean that others may not like them.

I DO want to go check out their shakes (I hear those are pretty good as well). The only reason we didn’t is because we don’t waste food, so we ate what we ordered.
