Life

Another 365 days!

Wow, I can’t believe it’s that time of the year again. I feel like I just wrote my 2022 reflections!

Buckle up, buttercup! Let’s roll!

January: James’s birthday. Our first New Year’s with Atlas. We didn’t do much this month. To be honest, we didn’t do much this year, but we did work a bit. James celebrated one year at Massey, even though we swear they try to kill him with all the work they give him. Bear’s birthday, he’s such a silly and amazing boy. I love how much he loves us and Atlas. Also moved our cruise booking this month to December 2023.

February: My birthday. We got to go to Fishlips. And found an amazing bakery over there (too bad it’s an hour and a half away!) We also went to the Ren fest this month. I always love going to these, but it’s sometimes hard when we go with others. But we still had a great time, and I’m really hoping to go once more before we move!

March: Atlas’s birthday (and his first birthday with us!) This was a pretty quiet month. James and I didn’t have much planned. The Strawberry festival was this month as well. Got to see Ludacris in concert! How freaking awesome is that! James and I attended our first convention. We only went because I saw Charlie Hunnam was going to be there. So we went. And got a photo with him. He’s tall and one of the nicest people ever!

April: James and I actually started talking about a few future things. We went to a school play for one of Jen’s kids and had another quiet month. Remember, James works as much as he can to keep up with the demand, so we don’t tend to plan a ton during the months. OHHOW was busy as usual, we increased to 50 hours instead of 40 due to us having more sign ups!

May: Went to a graduation and graduation party. We started to really get closer to the neighbors Jen and Jeremy. This was also the month that James and I decided we definitely wanted/needed to move. Let the planning begin!

June: I hired a second PA (personal assistant). She keeps my Instagram moving and really taught me a lot when it comes to posting. It was only supposed to be for a month, but she’s still here! Also went to my third book signing. Second time at the Tampa signing and it was a pretty awesome success. James’s shirt (you know the one I’m talking about) always gets a lot of looks.

July: Summer sucks in Florida! Like really sucks. It’s hot. Scratch that. It’s hotter than hot. Poor James was having a hard time at work. He’d come home daily and just sleep because of the heat. Another OHHOW month! July is always hard for me (which many of you know, and you know why). OH! TampaCon was this month. I got to meet Mark Sheppard! And I got to get photos in a replica Baby! (The car from Supernatural). It was freaking amazing!

August: Yet another quiet and hot month. The planning for the move increased. Especially with the way electric bills and everything else had been going. I was hanging out with the neighbor quite a bit (Atlas loves her). The neighbors went to visit Wisconsin to check out the area and some houses. Surprise! They found one they loved! So thus started their immediate need to pack and move in November.

September: Quite, and still not cooling down much. James and I picked a few areas we would consider living in, and I, of course did some searching of the areas. Another CON! This time 90’s Con. This one was by far the best. Total we met ten celebrities. Three Backstreet Boys (Nick, AJ, and Howie), Kimberly and Daniel from HalloweenTown, Lee Norris from One Tree Hill, Holly Marie Combs, Rose McGowen, and Shannen Doherty from Charmed, and Mark Paul Gossler from Saved by the Bell. It was a huge success and an amazing day. My fan girl heart was so happy. My amazing husband was one to brag about. He stood in lines FOR me, while I stood in others.

October: My favorite month with my favorite holiday! We had a small community yard sale in the beginning. I went and spent the whole day at the neighbor’s house. This was also when I figured out that the boys could easily be left out at night and during the day (if I wasn’t home) not in their crates. Both do fantastic while we are gone!

November: One month left until vacation! It was getting real now! James had told his boss I believe in October that he was planning to move after the first of the year. He didn’t seem to give a shit. The charity shoot was moved from this month to next year. Thanksgiving was quiet, just James and I (it was perfect). The neighbors moved. :(. I was so sad to see them leave. It was a crazy two days, but an amazing two days helping them pack and move. I can’t wait to visit!

December: That brings us to this month! Our cruise was the first week. It was interesting. I can say I will be doing group/Veteran’s cruises different from now on. James and I both ended up sick, my car broke (it’s fixed now). This month we start packing up our house, again. I know it seems like we move a lot, and that may be true, but we’ve just realized Florida isn’t right for us anymore. Once upon a time, it was. It was just what we needed, but now, we need something that will be better for us both. Cooler and a place that makes us happy.
